On the evening of June 14, it was once again time for the Dresden Science Night – now in its 21st installment – to turn night into day in the city. We welcomed some 800 science enthusiasts to our institute’s premises and offered them a fascinating program.
This June, over 50 scientific institutions in Saxony’s state capital once again invited night owls to experience research interactively and expand their knowledge from 5.00 p.m. to midnight. Some 30,000 visitors took up the invitation – and we were on hand to deliver a full program.
In talks, presentations, and hands-on activities, we presented our work on topics such as collaborative robots, high-tech chips, and artificial intelligence. Our program even featured heated combat between scrap robots. Overall, this year’s Science Night was once again a huge success and gave visitors the chance not only to experience the world of science up close but also to get talking to researchers.
